New KRONOS(KRONOS 2) software version 3.0.3 adds a number of new features, including the support for the KRONOS Editor and Plug-in Editor 3 software, the ability to automatically remap factory Program references in sound files created for the original KRONOS and KRONOS X, and Slot transposition display in Set List mode. KRONOS System Version 3.0

KRONOS software version 3.0 is a major upgrade, featuring the new SGX-2, system-wide touch-drag gestural input from the touch-screen, larger on-screen fonts, the ability to edit Programs in the context of Combinations and Songs, 12 vintage effects, and a raft of improvements to Set Lists. There’s also a new Find feature for locating Programs and Combinations by name, audio level meters for Oscillators, Timbres, Tracks, and effects, improved support for non- equal-tempered scales, and support for editing text via USB alphanumeric keyboards. Last but not least, if a sound requires samples which aren’t currently loaded, you can now load those samples in a single step. Note: KRONOS System Version 3.0.2 provides nearly all of the features of the new KRONOS, except for the updated sounds and sample libraries. These updated sounds and libraries, including the EXs17 Berlin D Piano, EXs18 Korg EXs Collections, and new Programs and Combinations, are expected to be made available for owners of previous KRONOS models in late January 2015 (price TBD).

KRONOS software version 2.1 adds several new features, including a newly improved CX-3 engine plus three new features tailored for live performance: real-time indication of the Rotary Speaker speed in all performance modes, a polyphony-saving option for Timbre/Track Mute and the ability to assign external MIDI CCs (from a pedal controller, for instance) to a number of special functions. Factory sounds V2 (for KRONOS 2.1)

FACTORY_V2 provides the latest version of the factory sounds: PRELOAD_V2.PCG. This includes updated CX-3 Programs in banks I-A and U-C, which take advantage of the new CX-3 features in KRONOS system version 2.1. All other data remains the same.
